Get Ready for Catholic Schools Week

This Catholic Schools Week will look a little different than previous years. We will still host Mass, special celebrations and other activities for students, families and the community. However, we have added the option of a virtual preview for each of our Polk County Catholic schools! Catholic Schools Week takes place from January 31 - February 6. Be sure to mark your calendars now so you don’t miss out on the fun.

Schools Preview

To kick off the 47th year of this celebration of Catholic education, you will have access to our schools virtually.  To keep our future students safe, we have replaced our usual in-person open house, the biggest event of the week, with exciting school previews where we give you access to our school communities. Families will have the opportunity to tour our schools in person, but our virtual preview is  a great opportunity to look behind the curtain before making the trip.

All About Safety

In 2020, our Catholic schools offered educational stability amid constant changes. We quickly moved classes online when the situation called for it, then brought students back in phases to keep our schools safe. We required students learning from home to be in uniform, and we showed them on screens in our classrooms. Students and staff wore masks when not social distancing, and they took lunches outside. By doing this and more, we have kept COVID-19 cases and learning gaps low.

Faith. Excellence. Service.

This year’s theme for Catholic Schools Week is “Faith. Excellence. Service.” At our Polk County Catholic schools, we promote these ideas through a challenging, faith-based curriculum and a focus on the community. The U.S. Department of Education has declared that our schools are Blue Ribbon Schools, meaning we’re among the top 200 in the nation in academic excellence. While our academic foundation is strong, our students also bond through daily acts of faith and service to those in need.

Catholic Schools Week is an event we look forward to every year, and we hope you and your child are ready to celebrate with us. The top Catholic schools in Polk County foster an atmosphere of care and an environment of high expectations and effective discipline. To learn more about what makes us different, contact us online
